Daily Calorie guide
What it is for
The Daily Calorie provides a planning estimate from the information entered.
How it is calculated
Calculate Mifflin–St Jeor BMR: 10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + sex constant (−161 female, +5 male). Multiply BMR by the selected activity factor for maintenance calories.
Assumptions
It assumes the inputs use the requested units and represent a general reference population, not an individual assessment.
Example
For a 30-year-old female at 150 lb and 65 in, BMR is about 1,401.26 kcal/day. Selecting sedentary activity, 1.2, gives about 1,682 kcal/day.
Limitations
This is an educational estimate, not a diagnosis, treatment, or dosing instruction. Consult a licensed healthcare professional, particularly during pregnancy, with symptoms, or before changing health behavior.
